Dr. Bert Cobb, the common sense conservative candidate for Hays County Judge, is pleased to announce that Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson will be his special guest at an upcoming campaign kickoff event on Thursday, September 9, 2010. In his eight years at the helm of the General Land Office, Commissioner Patterson has earned a solid reputation for fiscal responsibility and visionary leadership.
“I am honored to have Commissioner Patterson support our campaign,” said Dr. Cobb. “The commissioner typifies the kind of responsible leadership that Hays County lacks and needs so badly right now.”
Dr. Cobb is the Republican nominee for county judge. His opponent, Democrat Jeff Barton, is currently a county commissioner who twice voted to raise property taxes on homeowners while raising his own taxpayer-funded salary by more than $8500. Dr. Cobb is running for office to restore fiscal responsibility to Hays County and end the Jeff Barton tax hikes and selfish pay increases.
