Jeff Barton is getting desperate
Yesterday, Jeff Baton challenged his anonymous detractors to meet him on a street corner at “high noon” to face-off over their criticism of his poor job performance as commissioner.
Barton’s complaints center around anonymous e-mails that have been critical of his record, which he is trying to blame on Dr. Cobb. In response to this baseless accusation, Dr. Cobb offered the following comments:
“I share Mr. Barton’s frustration with these anonymous e-mails. They have nothing to do with my campaign, I’m tired of Mr. Barton blaming me for them, and I wish they would stop.
To be perfectly clear, when I criticize Mr. Barton’s tax increases and selfish pay hike, I do so openly and with the facts.
However, if Mr. Barton wants to face-off with his detractors, I suggest a much larger venue than a street corner. A parade permit is probably in order.”
